Candidates announced for 2021 UMSU general election

Update: as of Feb. 24, two candidates have dropped out of the races for community representative positions.  Below is the most up-to-date list of candidates.

Candidates have been announced for the upcoming 2021 UMSU general elections.

Three incumbent executives will be running under the Renew UMSU slate, including current vice president (VP) finance and operations Brendan Scott for president.

Current VP community engagement Tino Dogo and VP student life Savannah Szocs are running for re-election to their respective positions.

The Renew UMSU slate is running unopposed for two positions with independent candidates contesting the races for president, VP student life, and VP finance and operations.

Campaigning will take place from Feb. 22, until March 5. Voting will run from March 4 to 5. All voting will take place online at
