On Saturday, the Bisons women’s volleyball team looked to rebound at home after a crushing defeat on Friday. The #2 ranked Spartans completed the weekend sweep of the Bisons however, winning 3-1 (25-17, 28-26, 17-25, 25-17).

With the pair of losses, the Bisons see their losing streak extend to five games and their record fall to an abysmal 2-14.

The Spartans picked up right where they left off and took the first set of the night 25-17. A thrilling second set saw the Spartans take a chokehold with a 2-0 lead after beating the herd 28-26.

With their backs against the wall, the Bisons managed a 25-17 win in the third set, with Tori Studler putting in a great performance, coming up many key blocks and kills. The Bisons would fall in the fourth set, by a score of 25-17.

The Bison women travel to Thompson Rivers to face off against the Wolfpack next weekend, who are currently sitting in fifth place in the Canada West.
