Volunteer for the graphics editor
Why Graphics?
There is the old adage: a picture is worth a thousand words. Cliché I know, but it helps shed some light on why we have graphics in the Manitoban. Graphics draw in the reader; they are the hook of the article, but they also expand on the ideas contained within. The Manitoban has a strong tradition of graphics and if you are interested in contributing to the ranks of our volunteers then please pick up a pencil and send me an email.
How to Volunteer for Graphics
Send me an email and tell me you want to volunteer and attach an example of your work. I will look it over, add you to the mailing list and let you know what graphics we need.
If you want to contribute to our comics page we welcome you to the fold. Email me a brief explanation along with three to five samples.
We accept all graphics digitally, at least 4 inches wide, with a resolution of around 300 dpi. You can drop off original artwork at the office but it may be more reliable to send us an email.
Section meeting
The design team meeting will take place Wednesdays at 4:30p.m.. Stop by to get assignments or just to say “hi!”
