’Master switch’ for heart cells discovered, leading to possible cancer cure

In response to rumours that funding for aboriginal post-secondary students could be drastically changed by the federal government, the First Nations Education Council is circulating a petition to maintain the current program while increasing funding.

The 27th annual Manitoba International Marketing Competition (MIMC), organized by the Asper School of Business, will take place from Jan. 7-11.

On the first day of 2009, Winnipeg transit increased all fares by five cents. According to Ken Allen, communications officer for Transit, the increase was needed to cover the rising costs of fuel, improvements to bus shelters and new security measures.
