To start things off on an interactive note, I’m going to pose a bit of a question to you, the readers, about any parties you’ve been to in Winnipeg. You know, not just parties at your friend’s house with punch and some music. The Black and Blue ball, craft nights to create special one-of-a-kind floggers and whips, swinging parties, public bath nights, and anything else you could have possibly attended. I’ll admit that my own experience in this area isn’t as built up as it should be, so let’s get things started on an informative note here. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours. Deal? Here goes.

My own selected story falls into the craft night experience. I was invited by a friend of mine to a craft party about a year ago. Being a crafty lady, I jumped on the idea. Upon my arrival, I found handles of various sizes, lengths of leather, ropes and all kinds of associated crafty paraphernalia. Not only was being among a group of sexually open individuals very refreshing, but it provided me with the opportunity to learn techniques of braiding, weaving and how to properly flog someone to insure just the right stimulation.

Since this time, I’ve hosted a few of my own parties. They may have been a little watered down to suit the tastes of some friends, or riled right up in order to please a crowd of eager S&M starters. A good place to start if you’re looking to throw your own crafty party would be at something like nipple pasties (you know, like the ones in burlesque).

If you’re not the type to who knows people that throw sexy craft parties, start the trend for yourself. You’d be surprised just how many people you know will be into it. And fellows, don’t think this is limited to the ladies. If nipple tassels aren’t your thing, there are a great many other things you can try. Be creative. If my boyfriend brought home a wonderfully hand crafted flogger, I know I’d be just pleased as punch. Of course, as with any sexual act that involves a bit of pain, communication between partners is key. Don’t just “whip” it out during a romance session and assume your partner is into exactly what you are. Talk about it — that way maybe you’ll both find something that turns you on more than you’d have thought possible.
