Volunteer at the Manitoban

Are you a student interested in journalism, illustration or photography?

Come volunteer at The Manitoban and we'll help you develop your writing skills and build your portfolio! No experience necessary, just the desire to contribute and learn.

Sounds great! Where do I start?

The best way for us to help develop your skills is if you already have an idea of what you want to do. Let's say you're interested in writing CD reviews, then you should try and get in touch with our Arts & Entertainment editor, or if you're interested in illustration, then you should get in touch with our Graphics Editor.

Visit our Contact Us page for a full list of editor contacts

Okay, but I'm still not sure what I want to do.

We suggest dropping by our offices to say hello and chat with some of our editors. We're located at Room 105 (by the Fireside Lounge, the sunken-in area across from Tim Hortons in University Centre). Or you can give us a call at (204) 474-6535 or e-mail us at manitoban@themanitoban.com.

Open volunteer and staff meetings take place every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. during the regular session.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
