Rick Wood,
men’s hockey
Wood and Bison men’s hockey team are heading into the holiday break on a high note. They were able to sweep the No.3-ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies over the weekend, and Wood was a big reason why. Wood had two points a piece in each game (one goal, three assists), giving him 20 points on the season, which has him tied for second in the conference. He scored the game-winner on Saturday night — his third game-winning goal of the season — which puts him atop the conference in that category.
Isaac Ansah,
men’s basketball
Miles had four points (two goals, two assists) over the weekend, as the Bison women’s hockey team was able to pick up three out of a possible four points against the No.7-ranked University of Regina Cougars. The Bisons are off to a great start to the season, and enter the holiday break tied for first place in the conference. Miles leads the team in points (13) and goals (7).
Isaac Ansah,
men’s basketball
Ansah and the Bison men’s basketball team were able to put one in the win column Friday night, snapping an eight-game skid and giving the team something positive to lean on as they head into the holiday break. Ansah poured in 26 points in the win Friday night against the University of Regina Cougars and then added another 26 the following night against the same team. Ansah is averaging 20.6 points per game this year, which puts him fourth in the conference in scoring.
