Why doesn’t Canada have a pharmacare plan? Some of Winnipeg’s premier social thinkers are on it— including U of M prof Robert Chernomas, Social Planning Council director Wayne Helgason and Donna Chamagne, Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health.

7. Junto Spelling Bee and Dinner
Dec. 9, 6-11 p.m., Mondragon, $10 dinner, $5 show
Being an anarchist is c-o-o-l, cool! Vegan lasagna at 6 p.m., followed by two local acts — Smash! Makhno! Smash! and Tandeem — with what I’m sure is to be a wholesome, old-fashioned spelling bee in the mix. Junto is Winnipeg’s anarchist library, if you were wondering.
