Mike Howard, Football

Howard was named the Mitchell Bowl MVP for his part in helping the Bisons defeat the University of Western Ontario Mustangs 52-20. Howard played a key role on defence and on special teams, racking up nine tackles, two forced fumbles, and a pass breakup. Oh, and he also blocked a punt, which led to the Bisons’ first touchdown of the game. |
Sabrina Barnes, Women’s volleyball

The women’s volleyball team went into Simon Fraser University and dropped only one set in sweeping a two game series against the Clan. Barnes helped her team win by totaling 16 kills and 22 digs over the two games. |
Drew Venables, Men’s volleyball
|
Venables helped the Bisons men’s volleyball team get their first two wins of the year. In the first game against the University of Regina Cougars, Venables had 30 set assists to go along with 2 kills and six defensive digs. In the second game of the weekend, he had an even better game, racking up nine kills, 24 assists, and eight digs. |
