John Makie, Football
|
Up against Teale Orban, who is widely considered the best quarterback in the nation, Makie showed that he has some game too. He completed 18 of 25 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns, as the Bisons blew past Orban’s University of Regina Rams 48-5. |
Bob Reist, Football
|
The Bisons defence as a whole need their props in holding
the highest-scoring team in the conference to just five points, and zero
in the final 45:24 of the game. But Reist was standout, picking off three
passes which led directly to 14 points. |
Travis Kornelson, Men’s
hockey
|
Kornelson had a hat-trick in the Bisons 6-4 win over the Lethbridge Pronghorns on Nov. 9. He now leads the team in goals scored with five, and in plus/minus rating with a +4. |
Kristjan Hunter, Cross-country
|
Hunter finished second in the CIS championships held
on Nov. 10 Victoria, B.C., the highest ever placing for a Bison runner
at the meet. He finished the 10-km race in 31:41.64, helping the men’s
team finish in sixth place at the meet. Because of his standing, he was
also named as a first-team All-Canadian. |
