Bob Reist, football
|
Reist’s six tackles were second best in the Bisons’ victory over the UBC Thunderbirds on Oct. 13. However, his biggest contributions to the winning effort were his two third-quarter interceptions, the second of which halted a Tbirds drive that was already in the red zone. |
Stephanie Rurak, soccer
|
Rurak had three assists over the weekend, helping lead
the Bisons to two victories and its first ever playoff berth. Two of Rurak’s
three assists came off corner kicks. Rurak has become the team’s
go-to player when it comes to set kicks. |
Melanie Schlichter, women’s
basketball
|
Schlichter gets the nod as one of the Best Bisons of the Week for her performance in Manitoba’s 92-82 OT victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues in the second night of the Garbonzo’s Invitational. Schlichter scored the game-tying basket in the fourth quarter with just nine seconds on the clock then proceeded to score six more points in the overtime period dominated by the Bisons. |
