Justin Bender
First-year, medicine

Which course have you taken that is a guaranteed A?
Well, that was at U of S. Guaranteed A is probably Psych 110. It’s really easy. You can volunteer to get bonus marks and its all multiple choice.
Which course have you learned the most from?
Probably Cardio-Physiology. It was just really well taught. Again, that’s U of S.
In which course did you struggle the most?
Probably Pharmacology. It’s just a lot of material.
Which course would you advise others to avoid at all costs?
If you can avoid it, Physical Chemistry. It’s applying calculus to things you’re not used to applying it to.

Simon Hannes
Second-year, arts

Which course have you taken that is a guaranteed A?
Intro to Poli-Sci. . . . was a breeze. I probably went to half the classes maybe.
Which course have you learned the most from?
Easily ecology and science. Because [the prof] has so much passion for the subject and it really translates into students’ excitement for learning.
In which course did you struggle the most?
International Relations was definitely a tough one, just ’cause the teacher was the head of the poli-sci faculty.
Which course would you advise others to avoid at all costs?
I took 20th-century world history and it was just much too broad of a subject. There’s no way you can cover world history of an entire century in a course. It was much too broad to be applicable.

Jocelyne Chartier
Fourth-year, arts

Which course have you taken that is a guaranteed A?
Computer usage. You didn’t have to go to class and you could still get an A.
Which course have you learned the most from?
I’d say psychology — even just Intro to Psychology — I’ve taken child and adolescent development, too. They’re not necessarily easy, but they’re just informative. Everybody should know about psychology and people.
In which course did you struggle the most?
Multi-variable calculus . . . It was a lot to learn and the professors barely speak English.
Which course would you advise others to avoid at all costs?
Probably discrete math. It’s supposed to be a first-year class — its 1200 — and it’s definitely not an easy class; it’s hard.

Peace Ibrah
Second-year university

Which course have you taken that is a guaranteed A?

Catholic studies. It was just easy. I’m Catholic, so . . .
Which course have you learned the most from?
Psychology. I’m not done yet but I like it.
In which course did you struggle the most?
Biology, cause it’s stressful . . . there’s a lot to read.
Which course would you advise others to avoid at all costs?
Criminology. I found that hard —just statistics and lots of things. I’m not a math person.
