I suppose as a last resort for a desperate situation, and if it’s only guaranteed to resolve a situation that would be worse-off in the end, like a potential genocide; in order to stop a catastrophe from happening. |

Sometimes you have to do battle as a last resort. Like in Episode II, when Yoda confronted Count Dooku. All else failed, so Yoda had no choice but to fight Dooku. And Yoda kicked Dooku’s ass, and the good guys went home happy. |
