The car hole

Reader rides - Nothing beats cardboard

GRIFF BRUCKSON

Some people drive cars, others drive machines. This line is drawn based on how good a certain vehicles looks and performs. For some people, stopping at just a euro-taillight conversion is enough. Others, however, know how tot take it to the next level. Where this man’s Honda stands out is that he truly spared no expense in creating his dream ride.

The love is in the details, like the complete removal of the rear doors. Odd you might say? Nonsense! That kind of reckless attention to detail is what makes this car incredible. Ingenuity is crucial to building a dream car, and this car is full of trailblazing applications. A true builder knows pointless crap from art. This man’s vision differed from the masses. A simple garbage bin you might conclude — nope! More like a rally hood scoop! Some see the free inclusion of stickers with a purchase of a helmet as entertaining, but pointless; not this man. He saw that all of these stickers really add horsepower. Really — it’s an industry secret that for each sticker you stick on your vehicle it adds oh lets say . . . umm . . . 50HP! The stickers add up to bring the grand total of this bad boy to well over 2000HP! Yeah, chopping off the back doors makes a lot more sense now, huh?

Many people believe that cardboard is just to be used in boxes. Wrong again! Its real place is on the back of a car as a rear spoiler. Clearly, this enthusiast knew the score. Oh, and speaking of knowing the score, that sweet-ass body kit you see? Yep, pure maple wood. Although the generous use of maple might seem expensive, the owner maintains that nothing was too good for his hand-built pride and joy. Its all worth it seeing the neighbors stare for hours. JELEOUS??!!

Enough about the Builder’s clear genius — lets get down to the bling on this ride. Check out those 15 inch wheels! Yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that right — 15inches! That’s almost as big as a large pepperoni pizza. Speaking of a sausage fest, his hommies all love riding in the car because the audio system is second to none. This ride sports a vintage Atrac player! I know, I know, most of you out there are playing with your touch screen Panasonic systems wishing you had his bling, but again, it all comes down to just giving a shit. Clearly this owner loves his car and shows his pride and know how to the world

Well we all might not be ready to step up to this level of quality and workmanship just yet, but we can stare at pictures of this car and dream. And dream I shall. Looking at this ride has made me both exceedingly jealous and also encouraged me to work on my own ride. Sweet! Old pizza boxes in the dumpster and a whole bunch of Hootie and The Blowfish tapes! Look out there Honda boy, my rides going to be something to look at, just like yours!
