Also in the administration, the Board of Governors met for the first time in 2007. The meeting held some debate over naming academic units within the Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth and Resources, but on the brighter side, celebrated the University of Manitoba Press’s anniversary. Happy 40th U of M Press!
Students were busy participating in the 23rd annual Political Studies Students’ Conference last week. Ted Whiteside of NATO spoke to an audience on the all-feared subject of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Titled “NATO’s New Agenda: From Regional to Global Action” the conference included panels, discussions and presentations from scholars and professionals from all across the country.
The undergraduate experience at the U of M is also revealed in a survey released by student services. Not only are the reports examined, but this week’s Toban Talkback asks students to share their thoughts on the subject.
