Toban Talkback

Are you going to participate in the National Day of Action? Why or why not?

Third-year arts

I defi nitely think it is a good cause. I think it’s funny though that it’s such a huge deal for us students, and it is because who likes to pay lots of money, but at the same time there are much more important causes to be fi ghting for like poverty. You see the posters on the billboards “lower tuition hikes” but right beside it there are posters for spring break in Florida with girls in bikinis, so sometimes you just need to set your priorities.

No, I don’t feel like I know enough about it. I believe in the cause and I fully support it. It’s more my lack of initiative then anything, but I just don’t know what the exact day is about. If I were more informed I defi nitely would.

I am going to participate because I think it’s important that people aren’t being complacent and let other people do it for them. I believe a lot of people care about the cause but they just aren’t willing to fi ght for it.
Alexander Ashton
Fifth-year civil engineering
Of course I am! I believe in aff ordable education for everyone. Having more educated people builds a better society in whole. Th e more engineers you have, the better standard of living we will have.
Melanie Leslie
Third-year environment
I will participate if I have no other plans. It’s important for me and the cause is worthy, but it’s not something I’m willing to skip class for.
